Hot Houston Happenings
Houston is the 4th largest city in the United States. I’m always amazed when I hear that statistic, maybe it’s because I grew up here and it doesn’t seem like Houston is large enough to hold 4 million people. Despite the 100 plus temperatures during the summer, Houston is a great cosmopolitan city with lots to do and plenty of different cuisine to try. If you’re planning to visit our little city or live in the area and planning a "stay-cation" check out the local happenings and some of the definite must see places in Houston and surrounding areas.
- You can start your morning off with a hearty breakfast at the Breakfast Klub. Make sure to try the chicken and waffles or my favorite catfish and grits.
- You might be able to muster up enough energy after the hearty breakfast to catch the MetroRail to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. The museum currently has an awesome butterfly exhibit.
- If museum’s aren’t your thing you can always go shopping. The Rice Village and Galleria have plenty of stores and unique shops to satisfy any shopaholic.
The above list only highlights a few of the places to experience in the Houston area, there is definitely more to see and do. So, when you get a chance or a free weekend come and visit. I guarantee you and your family will have a great time. Oh, by the way Houstonians are very, very friendly! Hope to see y'all soon!
