The magic world of Disney is coming to the Houston-Galveston area via the Disney Magic Cruise ship.  The Disney Cruise Line announced last year they were expanding their port options and that Galveston made the cut. Woohooo….

According to Rebecca Peddie, Manager, Public Affairs, Disney Cruise Line, “Many factors contribute to our port selection. In Texas, the Port of Galveston is centrally located and offers a great starting point for guests in the region. This itinerary gives us the opportunity to continue to explore new markets and at the same time provide guests with greater accessibility to Disney Cruise Line.”

Disney will start sailing out of Galveston September 22, 2012.  Here a few details on the port of call, departure dates, and the cruise ships:

Port of call: The Disney Magic Ship will cruise from Galveston to the Western Caribbean. Wondering where in the world is the Western Caribbean? Let me tell you, the Western Caribbean is the Grand Cayman, Mexico’s Costa Maya and the beautiful Cozumel. I have always wanted to go these locations and being able to do it in one trip sounds great.

I have not had the opportunity to cruise but after seeing all the things to do and the loveliness of the ship, I may have to plan some cruising time for my family for summer 2013.  Happy Cruising!!!!
